Terms of Service

Effective date: October 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ContractMath, available at https://contractmath.com (the "Service"). ContractMath is operated by an individual developer, JIAN GUO ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service description

ContractMath provides a free online calculator that compares W-2 employment with 1099 contracting using 2026 U.S. federal, Social Security, Medicare and state tax data. We also sell an optional paid Full Report, which includes: a 50-state comparison, 2026 quarterly estimated tax schedule, employer cost breakdown, benefits valuation, multi-offer comparison, and PDF export. The Full Report is a digital product delivered instantly online after payment via a private report link. No physical goods are shipped.

2. Fees and billing

3. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. A refunded report link is deactivated.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse or attempt to disrupt the Service; scrape, crawl in bulk or automate access to report pages; resell, redistribute or publicly share paid reports or report links; use stolen payment methods or commit fraud; or abuse chargebacks.

5. Breach, suspension and termination of report access

Your report link is personal to you. If we reasonably believe you breached these Terms (including misuse, fraud, chargeback abuse, scraping or resale), we may revoke or disable access to the affected report link and refuse future purchases. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, liability limits) survive.

6. Not tax, legal or financial advice

All results are estimates for general information only and are not tax, legal, or financial advice. Tax law and your circumstances may differ from our assumptions. Consult a qualified tax professional before making decisions.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the report in question.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
